Trump Has Fired F.B.I. Director James Comey

(via ABC News)

Since becoming president, Donald Trump has been suspected of collaborating with Russians to rig the 2016 presidential election in his favor.

There’s been an ongoing criminal investigation on these accusations, but Trump seem to be slowly dismantling the entire team.

Former attorney general Sally Yates, former U.S. attorney Preet Bharara, and now former F.B.I. Director James Comey have all been fired.

Comey investigated Hillary Clinton’s private email server scandal, in which Trump greatly benefited from. However, his time as F.B.I. Director has come to an end. In a letter from Trump to Comey, Trump made claims that he was told at least three times by Comey that he wasn’t under investigation. Apparently, Trump may have felt betrayed and his response was Comey’s dismissal.

The last time a sitting president fired the person leading an investigation on him, was during the Watergate scandal when Nixon was president. Trump’s move to fire Comey came as a surprise to members of both parties.

Donald Trump continues to take questionable actions during his presidency, and he doesn’t seem to have a problem removing anyone who gets in his way.

This whole ordeal is definitely bound to get even worse.

What’s really going on in the White House right now?
