Chuck Berry was a key figure in the popularization of rock and roll.  He was one of the first explorers of the genre of music and he definitely left his mark on the territory.

The St. Louis native helped usher in a brand new sound when it came to rock and roll and rhythm and blues. Many people speak of Elvis Presley being so legendary but Berry was a legend for a completely different reason. He was iconic, a musical genius. Berry was before his time, an innovator.

Saturday (March 18), the St. Charles County Police Department in Missouri confirmed the death of Chuck Berry via Facebook. He was 90 years old. According to reports, he was pronounced dead at his home.

Another legend has passed from this dimension. There’s no need to mourn because Berry made a life out of following his dreams and pursuing his passions. He was another great example of someone who took full advantage of this gift of life.

Safe travels Mr. Berry.
