1998, the year A Tribe Called Quest released The Love Movement, which was the last album the grouped blessed our ears with.

Now fast forward to 2016.

Q-tip makes an announcement via Facebook, giving word the group will soon be releasing their new and final album this year. The album is currently untitled, but it is set to be released next month, on November 11.

A Tribe Called Quest gave us unadulterated sounds of hip hop, and they left a distinct imprint on the black community and the music industry with their spirited chapter in the history of hip hop.

The members; Q-Tip, MC Phife Dawg, and DJ and producer Ali Shaheed Muhammad formed a dynamic group with their perfect collaboration.

Unfortunately, Phife Dawg passed away earlier this year, and perhaps this last album is somewhat an ode to him. Phife Dawg was apart of their 2015 music sessions so he will be heard on the album, even though the sessions were incomplete. The remaining members have added the finishing touches to the new album, and have also collaborated with other musical talents, such as Consequence and Busta Rhymes.

So there you have it! You can look forward to a brand new album from A Tribe Called Quest within a couple weeks. It will be interesting to see what an album from them sounds like now. We are sure a lot has changed since 1998.
