Golden State Warriors Win 2017 NBA Championship And Durant Finally Gets A Ring!

This year’s NBA finals were everything and then some. Every game was filled with high energy and intensity. The Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers made each other step up and play with some heart.

Although it was pretty close, Golden State proved why they are called warriors and Kevin Durant finally got his ring. A good number of fans are salty about the fact that he had to be a Warrior to do it, but maybe it was worth it? Golden State beating the Cavaliers 129-120 in Game 5, resulted in Kevin Durant finally getting to join the rest of the All-Stars. He’s also one of the only players “in NBA history to win at least four scoring titles and one NBA title.”

Golden State won the 2017 NBA Championship with a 16-1 mark, making it the “best single-season winning percentage in NBA postseason history”.

Now the team must decide if they will be visiting the White House to mingle with Trump. There’s been speculation that the team may not go, it will be interesting to see what they officially decide.

Congrats Warriors! You guys played a good game and even if you aren’t a Golden State fan, you must admit that Durant deserved that ring.
