2017 is hours away. It’s the perfect time to get rid of the old and welcome in the new. A new year always inspire new resolutions and goals. The energy of starting fresh and new is in the air and it will serve us all to take advantage of it. So let’s start this New Year off on a positive note.

Here are 4 positive things to incorporate into your life routines to start 2017 off right.

  1. Wake Up Early.

Early mornings make for more productive days. You may or may not be a morning person, but getting up a couple hours earlier than you typically would, will give you time to prepare for the day ahead.

  1. Develop A Daily Meditation Practice.

Make time each day to reflect in silence, to visualize your goals, to take a breather, or to simply have a moment to yourself. Our lives can get pretty hectic and overwhelming with work, school, family, etc. Sometimes taking time to relax and refresh can make all the difference.

  1. Read More.

We have all heard the phrase “reading is fundamental”. Reading expands our knowledge about ourselves and the world. It opens our minds to endless possibilities of exploration. If you aren’t an avid reader, try picking up a book about a passionate interest you may have and go from there. There’s a book written about anything you can think of.

  1. Eat Better.

So eating healthy has gotten pretty trendy. It’s cool to post pics of the salad you are about to eat on Instagram, or of the new diet you are starting to get your beach body ready for the summer, but how many of us actually follow through with cultivating better eating habits? What we put into our bodies are important. This isn’t to say you need to become a vegan tomorrow, it’s to say, be mindful of your consumption. Remember, your body is your temple. Handle it with love, care, and respect.

This 4 routines are simple and can easily be incorporated into your life. If you desire a better you, putting in the necessary effort is a must. It’s a new year, so let’s work on being better people and living better lives.  Happy New Year!
