More Attractions Coming To Atlanta: Splash Pad For Cobb County

(via AJC)

Atlanta has been undergoing many renovations and new additions lately.  Cobb County will be adding a splash pad to the 42-acre Swift-Cantrell Park in Kennesaw.

The Cobb County splash pad will cost $425,000 and is being funded by the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax. You can expect its debut sometime in June.

According to reports, Metro Atlanta is expected to grow by 2.5 million people by 2040. With the recent boom in Atlanta film industry, there’s no surprise the city is becoming more popular by the minute. Atlanta is currently No. 3 in worldwide film production.

In other words, Atlanta has become the “it” place to be. On one hand, this is great because communities are being rebuilt but on the other hand, gentrification is pretty much a big thing right now in Atlanta. What will Atlanta look like 10 years from now?
